Jay is a 30 year veteran of the investment industry. He specializes in producing superior risk adjusted returns through sophisticated forward looking asset allocation techniques. Prior to founding Optimal Capital, Jay directed the Global Wealth Management Group presence in Northern Michigan for Morgan Stanley. Jay graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics at Alma College (Alma, MI), earned a Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) designation from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School (Philadelphia, PA), an Estate Planning Consultant designation from the American College (Bryn Mawr, PA) and holds several professional licenses. Jay is creator of the Optimal TLC Strategies, the NorthSTAR Collective Investment Funds and Optimal Alternative Titans.

Craig is an entrepreneurial business leader adept at identifying and creating stakeholder value. Previously Craig was President of Palo Alto-based Southwall Films, where he had $52M global P&L responsibility, implemented operational rigor that helped repair the company’s balance sheet, and expanded the company’s presence in Southeast Asia and China that grew revenues 300%. These accomplishments helped the company achieve a successful relisting on NASDAQ (SWTX) and subsequent acquisition by Solutia (NYSE: SOA) for $113M cash, a 45% premium. Prior to Southwall Craig held executive and sales and marketing roles at venture-backed start-ups and early stage companies in Silicon Valley. Craig started his career at Xerox Corporation, where he consistently ranked in the top 7% of US sales performance. Craig has a BA from the School of Communication Arts & Sciences at Michigan State University.
Robert’s finance background and depth of legal experience enables him to provide seasoned guidance to Optimal Capital Advisors clients. He is admitted to practice law in Michigan state courts as well as the United States District Court for the Western Districts of Michigan, Wisconsin, and the Southern District of California. He is a member of the California State Bar, and served as a Deputy District Attorney in both Orange County and San Diego County for over 10 years. Born in Detroit, Robert graduated from the University of Michigan Undergraduate School of Business in 1984, majoring in finance. He attended Pepperdine University School of Law on an academic scholarship and was a member of the Law Review there, and graduated in 1988.
